Kwena Square Hosts Heritage Day Market, Showcasing Local SMMEs
- 23 Sep 2024
On the 22nd of September, Kwena Square proudly hosted a vibrant Heritage Day market as part of the ongoing Join the #Upside Heritage Day Campaign, where we encourage individuals to share their story of how they turned around a bad situation which is also aimed at providing local entrepreneurs and SMMEs a platform to showcase their products, engage with the community, and grow their businesses.
The event featured a variety of passionate vendors, each with their unique stories and offerings. Nana's Jam & Confectionery shared their inspiring journey of resilience, having started their business after losing a job due to the impact of COVID-19. Young entrepreneurs Melissa and Mark Baggott, from Sky Redefined, introduced their stylish range of scrunchies and hair clips to the community, while Lindelwa Maseko and Nobuhle Mtshali from Khanyi's Glow showcased their beauty products.
Shoppers had the opportunity to browse through an array of handmade crafts, including beautiful uniquely crafted jewellery by Stone Tree, luxurious bath salts from Vee Pees Allure, trendy bags from MK Boutique, and much more. The event celebrated the entrepreneurial spirit of local businesses, offering a memorable shopping experience for the Little Falls community while promoting local talent.
Kwena Square remains committed to uplifting local businesses and providing them with opportunities to thrive, and the Heritage Day market was a true reflection of this dedication.
